But you've not addressed Tom's point. One of the hard things about creating exercises is knowing how much (or little) of Perl and outside knowledge you can use or rely upon for both the question and the answer. There's a path here... You can't get to chapter 8 without doing chapter 7. So it's a bit unrealistic to think that you could use chapter 8 exercises without also covering chapter 7 materials. Some of the later Llama stuff is more isolated, but the early Llama chapters are definitely linear. -- Randal L.
