who teaches other subjects besides perl?

Hi,

As I may have mentioned, I teach 
Korn Shell and Tcl/Tk as well as 
perl (and a bunch of other subjects 
also).  I am wondering if others 
in this mailing list also teach 
other VHLL or shell type languages 
such as Korn Shell, Tcl/Tk,
Python, Scheme, awk, and so on.

I try to use some synergies between
the languages for developing training
materials, labs, and so on.  Does
anyone else do this, or do you teach
the classes pretty much independently?

Do you see the same people in classes
on different languages, or are the
populations pretty independent?  I
guess there would seem to be advantages 
to using similar labs in different courses
if the same students took several
courses, but less so if it was rare 
for a student to taks several courses.
My experience is that Korn Shell and perl 
see many of the same people, but Tcl/Tk 
is a different crowd. 

If anyone else does teach Korn Shell,
do you use the 88 version or the 93?
On most systems I know of, '88 is /bin/ksh
and '93 is /usr/dt/bin/dtksh.  '93
adds several string functions, associative
arrays, and a few other features.  I don't
teach the dt windows pieces in my class
(we don't really have time and most of my 
students wouldn't have the background).

Does anyone teach a class around using Tk
with perl (as opposed to a module in a
more general class)?
