I was just talking about networking yesterday with a SCORE volunteer. 
She was encouraging me to go to local networking events, and then I 
whined that my market is scattered all over the world, and she replied 
that the people I meet locally know people all over the world.  Still, I 
prefer to leave out the middleman and meet people at conferences who are 
directly in my target market.  Which reminds me, I need to get around to 
registering for OSCON....
