definitely.  i wouldn't teach a lecture-only class
(i.e. non-lab class).  (that is, unless i got paid
what those types of trainers get paid.)

the lab i teach in has 20 WinNT machines.  part of my
agreement to teach the class included having perl (from
ActiveState) installed on the machines, and having
perl re-installed when major new versions came out.
that has worked very well.  on the other hand, i've had
to use three different machines for the webserver in
three semesters.
