Problem with 'Mailformed UTF-8 caracter' warning messages when I use Switch.pm package!

Hi All,
 
I have a problem to avoid "Mailformed UTF-8 caracter" messages when I use
the Switch.pm module on SuSE 9.1 Profesional with english or german language
settings.
I try to set LANG variables in /etc/SuSEConfig/profile and
/etc/sysconfig/language to several language and encoding setting but I can't
avoid these messages. If somebody resoleved this problem, please post the
solution!
