Maybe too dynamic :)  Not many people would expect \p{IsBogus} is  
completely ignored where.

'str' =~ / \p{IsBogus}/;

But in cases like

   $str = $ARGV[0];
   $str =~ / \p{IsBogus}/;

the code may or may not raise an exception and that's somewhat tricky.
