I built perl-5.12.2 on AlphaServer 800 HP C V7.3-009 on OpenVMS Alpha V8.3

Failed 8 tests out of 1636, 99.51% okay.

I have not yet run tests to see if the problems introduced after 5.8.6 on stream records (and those weird directory corruptions) have been fixed, will report on that later.
