Hello! What can I do with wxPerl+Windows right now?

I was super happy to read about the revival of wxPerl from Johan Vromans!

Question - where should I start with install it? This has always been the
hardest step for me.

I think that I would like to focus on a repeatable process that would let
me:

1. create a development environment on Windows
2. clear steps to distribute the resulting "EXE" or installer for
distributing to other WIndows users without dealing with any of the parts
related to #2

Is this possible? Here is something we came up with in collaboration last
year,

https://github.com/The-Perl-Cottage-Guild/HOWTO-Windows-GUI-Applications/tree/master/wxPerl,
and related video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOW8fMrpIS0

This is basically full of figuring out what could be done (barely). I also
did a lot of playing around with wxPerl Citrus and some archive.org
spelunking of different past attempts to provide development environment
for Windows that would just spit out a self-contained .exe - which would be
ideal for what I'd like to do. I definitely agree, being able to reliably
bang out wxPerl for Windows would really rock. Another big reason I am
drawn to wxWindows is the existence of wxGlade. I found it is written in
Python but supports emitting out to Perl.

So here should I start with seeing how to get things going on Windows in
2024?

Thanks!
Brett
