In preparation for installing wxPerl 3.009 I'm trying to build perl-
Alien-wxWidgets from github and failing at the first step.
~/install/Alien-wxWidgets-0.72$ perl Build.PL
Base class package "Module::Build" is empty.
(Perhaps you need to 'use' the module which defines that package fir=
st,
or make that module available in @INC (@INC contains: . ./lib ./inc =
/etc/perl /usr/local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl/5.38.2 /usr/local/share/perl=
/5.38.2 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl5/5.38 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/x86_=
64-linux-gnu/perl-base /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl/5.38 /usr/share/perl/=
5.38 /usr/local/lib/site_perl).
at inc/My/Build.pm line 4.
wxwidgets is freshly installed pre-built from the repo
dpkg -l | grep wxgtk | awk '{print $2}'
libwxgtk-gl3.2-1t64:amd64
libwxgtk3.2-1t64:amd64
libwxgtk3.2-dev:amd64
System is Linux Mint 22.2 (ubuntu 24.04) fully patched.
