--000000000000ebe1a8064a868c72 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" The intention of this repository is basically to contain a collection of useful GUIs for others to take and use - minimally, each directory contains: - wxGlade XML project file (.wxg) - Perl code generated via wxGlade (unimplemented) - README.md containing a screenshot Please feel free to use these or, if you're willing, contribute more to this repo. https://github.com/The-Perl-Cottage-Guild/wxPerl-Templates I created the initial examples in this repository using ChatGPT - it's quite effective at generating XML that is very close to the described UI; in my case I was using programs we should all be familiar with: - Netscape 2.0 - WS-FTP - puTTY configuration pane Sure there are others that people might find useful or inspiring as a starting point. My intention is also to build up in this repository examples of the scripts, Makefiles, etc that might be needed to: - generate Windows .exe files (using Strawberry Perl, for Windows) - installers (e.g., .MSI, etc) - Other tools and utilities that might assist anyone wanting to create distributable wxPerl applications - particularly for Windows. Here's an example of such an EXE I have created and use when there are hurricanes bearing down on the US: https://github.com/StormSurgeLive/nhc-advisory-gui/releases Cheers, Brett Estrade (OODLER) -- This email message is for the sole use of the intended recipient(s) and may contain confidential and privileged information.
