It's "And Then There Were None" - a non Poirot/non Miss Marple novel. 
The theme is the poem "Ten Little Soldiers". Not a nursery rhyme it 
would seem although it does make a reasonable emulation of the cruelty 
and callousness typical of english language poetry for children. Also 
racism in the original form(s).
