A friend and I once had our lives saved when we found ourselves starving 
on Bristol Temple Meads station in the early hours of the morning en 
route to a holiday in  Cornwall. The only thing that looked vaguely 
edible were reheated pork pies, which had the same sleeve-soaking 
attributes as your kebabs, but possibly less flavour.

N.B. for anyone who has ever enjoyed a Melton Mowbray pork pie - West 
Country (I think ours were "Brains" brand) pork pies are only to be 
eaten "in extremis" such as we found ourselves. At any other times they 
should be treated as a health hazard until a  real MM pie can be found.
