their time.” Matilda Joslyn Gage worked side by side with Susan B. Anthony 
and Elizabeth Cady Stanton to get women the vote in the United States and 
co-wrote the history of the women’s movement with them. So why do we not 
know her name? IDEAS producer Dawna Dingwall reveals how a towering figure in 
the women’s rights movement was erased by her peers, and how a chance 
discovery put another self-described radical feminist on a mission to write 
Matilda Gage’s story back into our consciousness.
