Mod parent up, though you should have cut the troll's Subject while you were at it. In particular the focus on rendering the torllage less visible is sound.
However I think the problem is complicated and the only general solution approach I've been able to imagine so far would be some form of MEPR (Multidimensional Earned Public Reputation), with filtering trolls as one application. My own application would be to seek a balance of about 30 to 50 visible people who write interesting stuff for most of what I see... Unfortunately, I also think some people would use MEPR to block on the basis of supporting what they want to believe anyway.

No, those are the fresh generation of fatherless children of single mothers, and that's exactly what their dads are paying child support to provide. Pride in their status as victims. It's worst in the black community, where 70% of children have no fathers, and predictably learn their morals only from their mothers and social workers. Freud would have had a field day with all the resulting Oedipal nuttiness playing out in the streets.
