more spending on services for the poor.
Then why are there so many poor people, so many homeless people? I recently visited salt lake city from SF and it was a mind blowing difference. By all means, CA should allow people to be homeless and do drugs and harm themselves, but don't save them when they take it too far. If a person intentionally overdoses, let them go. This policy will dramatically reduce the amount of people on the dole (but will also reduce population, and amount of population-based politicians). Other will see this and decide that being homeless is not a acceptable alterative to the rat race. Call me heartless if you want, I don't care.

it's temperate and that means they don't die. Until recently the homeless were made up almost entirely of the mentally ill (even the drug users were typically the sort using drugs to cope with mental illness). Back east or in the parts of the SW where it regularly hits 115 if you're homeless you die of one kind of exposure or another. This makes them more visible in parts of CA where the weather is more temperate.

Yes, but didn't Newsom himself say homeless was one of his top most priorities? Homelessness is just getting worse.

Then why are there so many poor people, so many homeless people?
1. Better weather.
2. Better services for the poor.
Many of the homeless in California migrate there from other states.
decide that being homeless is not an acceptable alternative to the rat race.
So you really think people do a cost-benefit analysis to decide between competing for a corporate board seat and living in a cardboard box?

1 & 2 obviously aren't causes of homelessness and poverty. And while saying "1 & 2 are reasons homeless people migrate to California" sounds "common sensey", there's no actual data that supports the assertion that "people become homeless in another state, then migrate to California for the weather/social services" in any significant numbers.
The whole "the homeless come from somewhere else" BS is something that too many Californians tell themselves so they can blame someone else for the problem.

Many of the homeless are sent there from other other states. The red states aren't solving problems, they're just bussing homeless to California and acting like they're clever.

What red states have busing programs? I know NYC was paying some homeless a while back to go live in other cities but I was unaware of any action on the state level.

Because large amounts of those funds we're told is going to help the less fortunate are being stolen and used to further the overall control of the many by a few.

Last year, California was surprised to learn that after massive increases in services for the homeless, they had significantly more homeless people.
Apparently, doing things for homeless people doesn't cause there to be fewer homeless people.
I'm certainly no expert on things, but I know that certain people in a particular part of Texas told that their options were:
A) Get a job and stop spending their day getting high
B) Move to Austin, where they have programs to take care of people who don't work and just high all day
My buddy chose "move to Austin and sign up for programs".
That's one guy and his friends, not scientific data, but I found it interesting.

"By all means, CA should allow people to be homeless and do drugs and harm themselves, but don't save them when they take it too far. If a person intentionally overdoses, let them go"
We can't lock them up anymore, we can't clear encampments like this one that nearly burned down an elementary school:

and people are being threatened and assaulted by homeless drug addicts.
Yes, homeowners and renters are being pushed into a corner and they are fed up. This attitude that the poster showed is fast becoming increasingly common, and I'm starting to have the same thoughts.
Modding down and censoring unpopular or un-PC opinions do not make them go away. If anything, it may very well cause people's tempers to boil over, making them feel like somebody slammed a gag over their mouths and told them to go fuck themselves. Then they become violent.

and their attempts to take over state legislatures. They were about to take them all in 2018 and call a Constitutional convention to change the Constitutional to their liking (I think one of the 2 might have been dead by then), but then the ACA repeal went viral thanks to of all things Jimmy Kimmel and they lost a few States.
They haven't given up. They will try again
