tally disturbed. Residents reported seeing this same man starting smaller fires in the area during the past few months. The fire tonight was quickly put out, but the house's interior was completely gutted.

Car goes wrong way on the I-1.
A car was spotted driving the wrong way on the I-1 tonight, just south of JJC. The driver was an elderly man in his late 80s who suffers from dimentia. He drove for about a mile southbound. while drivers frantically swerved to avoid him. He was going about 25 miles an hour and he pulled onto the side of an on ramp after he realised what was happening. Police shut down the on ramp, and paramedics came to taje him to a local hospital. He said that he thought he was just driving through his neighborhood and he was trying to find his house.
No one was injured and no charges will be filed.

During the worst of today's massive downpour, a duck boat began taking on water as the helmsman franticaly raced to get to a boat ramp before the boat sank. "We had water up to our knees" a frightened passanger told WJJC News. :The captain ordered us to put our life jackets on, and the crew was getting ready to ditch the canopy. We were in the North Sea, very close to the shoreine, but the waters were very choppy, and there was the danger of riptide currents. The bilge pump was struggling, and the boat's engine was struggling as well. You could hear it, When we got close to the ramp, you could see smoke pouring out of the engine compartment.".
Shocked onlookers on the shoreline were screaming at the boat, urging them to get to land "Forget the boat! Just beach it and get the hell out of there!" one guy was heard screaming as he was recording the harrowing scene from the shoreline.
The boat got to the ramp, but once it reached the top level section, the engine died and was now engulfed in flames. The captain hurridly evacuated the boat as the rest of the crew put out the fire with extinguishers.
It is now known that the boat hit a rock underwater, which caused a 6 inch tear in the underside of it's hull.
The boat started it's journey near the Ward's district in southeast JJC and ended up near the northern edge of West Island.
It's not yet known why the boat was launched when bad weather was forcast, nor is it known if any charges will be filed
