A rare fifth-century amulet depicting a Biblical demon slayer
may corroborate missing scripture that claimed King Solomon
had power over evil.

The 1,600-year-old bronze pendant, found in Turkey, featured
imagery of Solomon defeating the devil with the ancient
Greek inscription, 'Our Lord defeated the devil.'

. . .

Solomon dated back to maybe 970 BC ... meaning this
find was either extremely old or was of more recent
origin, perhaps to be sold in a market to Roman
   soldiers as a good-luck piece.

Kind of odd to find a Hebrew piece on what were
probably Roman soldiers. COULD be the piece is
old enough to date from when Greeks were still
more prominent in Turkey. Alas the little news
article does not speak of any attempts to discern
the true age of the pendant using modern methods.
