   Not sure about 'super beings', but clearly there was
   a lot of weird stuff going on during and near the end
   of the last ice age.

   The climate shift, and apparently a meteor hit, were
   really rough and no doubt trashed a LOT of evidence.
   Some will be found 300 feet deep under coastal waters,
   but even finding such sites is nearly impossible. Perhaps
   better tech will come along to guide us.

   One thing I've not seen is a sign of what you would
   call a 'writing system' dating back 12+ thousand years.
   Some animal drawings, kind of pre-hieroglyphs, but
   nothing sophisticated until the Sumerians/Indus Valley.
   This would have seriously limited the ability to pass
   along detailed knowledge.

   Note people LOVE to scrawl things on walls, indeed
   pretty much everything - but none of the old hab
   sites found have languages. If there were ice-age
   super-civs I'd expect to find such graffiti.
