A six-year-old girl was seriously hurt in an ATV accident in northern 
Minnesota Friday afternoon. 

It happened around 1:50 p.m. in the city of Cook. According to the St. 
Louis County Sheriff's Office, the girl was riding on an ATV behind an 
adult operator who was mowing trails "with an attached pull behind brush 
mower."

"As they were mowing the 6 year old fell off of the ATV and was run over 
by the brush mower," a news release says. 

She was taken via ambulance to a hospital in Cook, and then airlifted to 
Children's Hospital in Minneapolis with serious injuries. 

There's no word yet on the extent of the injuries or her current 
condition.
