Well, yeah, hard to say if the same transmission is going act the same 
way in two different manufacturer's cars, the electronics are programmed 
by their manufacturer's own engineers after all. In the old days, it was 
all mechanical governing reliability and performance, but these days 
software plays a large underappreciated part too. Tesla's entire 
ecosystem seems to be software-controlled.
