There is a law against transporting those federally illegal items across U.S. borders making it a federal crime like the Cartel smuggling cocaine and fentenyl across the Southern Border. Which means that Griner needs prosecution so that the crime of trafficking/smuggling is on her records that they use when she tries to get a FEDERAL JOB or maybe if she runs for public office or vote or buy a gun. It may add up to time served in Russia but it still needs to be official so that she gets treated equally as a felon like the person trying to carry a gun on an airplane across the U.S. borders becomes a felon. Then Biden can be a hero and Pardon her.
