<div>I know that issue is very dated, but I found a script on reddit the la=
st time and adapted it a bit to download the latest version of nordvpn.</di=
v><div></div><div> _nordvpn_solus</div><div></div><div>Also linked the orig=
inal script in the readme.</div><div></div><div></div><div>buddyspencer I t=
ried using your script. It updated a bunch of software on my machine, but i=
t was unable to find installer in the repository on the nordvpn server. App=
arently they've updated it. </div><div></div><div>I am still very intereste=
d in using this script, so if you have a minute to update it, I am grateful=
.</div><div></div><div>To present I have failed at installing nordvpn via t=
he network manager. There is no place to put the token they provide and the=
y do not offer a certificate that i can identify. Using their debian app se=
ems like a great solution.</div><div></div><div>I haven't really used the c=
ommand line since the mid 80s, so I don't know how to query the remote serv=
er and find out what the new filename might be, and proceed. Thanks for thi=
s pathway forward.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></=

><div>Download: https://t.co/kpXY1hSYvc </div><div></div><div></div><div>In=
this tutorial you will learn how to fix the error " Whoops! /run/nordvpn/n=
ordvpnd.sock not found" on NordVPN, this error comes up after running the c=
ommand "nordvpn connect" on console and it prevents nordvpn from running, i=
n other words nordvpn...</div><div></div><div></div><div>This worked for me=
in Kubuntu 22.04.2 LTS x86_64</div><div></div><div>It seems that the upgra=
de changed the protocol</div><div></div><div>Setting to UDP worked!</div><d=
iv></div><div>Type the following commands into the Terminal window:</div><d=
iv></div><div>nordvpn set technology openvpn</div><div></div><div>nordvpn s=
et protocol udp</div><div></div><div></div><div>FIXED ! my version of Ubunt=
u is 18.04 LTS and is uses GLIBC 2.27-3 and the latest version of nordvpn u=
sing GLIBC 2.28 so I had to install and older version of nordvpn, nordvpn_3=
.15.5. This was suggested at Reddit - Dive into anything</div><div></div><d=
iv></div><div>I downloaded nordvpn-bin from AUR and I suspect this version =
is doing something that is messing with the ability to use a machine as a g=
ateway, as I do with all my other VPN services. For some reason just Nord i=
n particular isn't working as expected.</div><div></div><div></div><div>- I=
nternet forwarding seems to be working fine - client phone for testing usin=
g 192.168.0.200 as a gateway working for all traffic</div><div></div><div>-=
 # systemctl start nordvpn</div><div></div><div>- use nordvpn CLI to login =
and then connect</div><div></div><div>- Connectivity on the server itself i=
s all good, opening IP check page shows the VPN IP and everything is all as=
 intended</div><div></div><div></div><div>Yikes, yeah I wouldn't know where=
to begin here in trying to do this myself. This issue is still unresolved =
and I think it has something to do with however nordvpn is configuring itse=
lf, as I have multiple identical VM's here acting as gateways for other maj=
or providers and none have this issue - it's exclusive to the nord gateway =
sadly</div><div></div><div></div><div>So it's absolutely something that the=
software is doing. They changed something along the way and I forget where=
I read about it but there was just a one-off random comment in all of the =
research I was doing on reddit from a guy claiming he couldn't get some fea=
ture to work on the newest nordvpn release and had to downgrade. The second=
I dropped back to 3.15.0 it works absolutely perfectly, using it as we spe=
ak with zero problems, and zero frustration.</div><div></div><div></div><di=
v>Strange stuff indeed. I think disabling routing in the newest version and=
issuing the proper set of commands would be great, just not sure how to be=
gin really.. I wish there was a way to reach someone that mattered at nordv=
pn about this. I see their tool is on github.</div><div></div><div></div><d=
iv></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>I'm using NordVPN version 3.=
12 on an Ubuntu 18.04.6 media server and I've run into many connection issu=
es. The Linux CLI version is very unstable compared to the desktop version,=
with the VPN getting stuck in a reconnecting loop. When trying to reconnec=
t, it will run a loading animation until I quit the SSH session and rejoin =
the server.</div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>After SSHing back in=
to the server, the VPN status will be displayed as "Reconnecting". Trying t=
o run systemctl restart nordvpn.service systemctl restart nordvpnd.service=
will restart the service but Nord will still get stuck in a connection loo=
p. Trying to use kill -9 [ID] will stop the service but after restarting th=
e service it will throw this error: Whoops! Cannot reach System Daemon. whe=
n running nordvpn connect. The only reliable way I've found to get the VPN =
started again is to restart the system. It seems these issues start after a=
few days of letting the system run on the VPN connection.</div><div></div>=
<div></div><div>I just tried your suggestion to changing the repository to =
--> bubuntux/nordvpn:v3.12.3 it re-configured the container ... but my binh=
ex deluge is still showing my routers public IP in the status bar bottom ri=
ght corner even after restart of both containers.</div><div></div><div></di=
v><div>$ nordvpn connect --> shows the same "a new version is available" an=
d has a spinning "\" indicating it is trying to connect. (for last 10 mins =
now and still has not conected) My guess is it will eventually time out.</d=
iv><div></div><div></div><div>Another oddity. When I open a console on my e=
xisting and working NordVPN container and enter "nordvpn status" on the CLI=
, it returns information. When I open a consol on my new unRaid server's No=
rdLynx container and enter "nordvpn status" or "nordlynx status" it returns=
a "sh: nordlynx: not found" error. Also, "curl ifconfig.io" returns a "sh:=
 ifconfig.io: not found".</div><div></div><div></div><div>I had similar iss=
ues with NordLynx this past weekend (none of the nordvpn\curl commands work=
ed)... I gave up and went back to using NordVPN rolled back to last working=
version v3.12.3 (with TECHNOLOGY setting OpenVPN). It still spits out a wa=
rning that there is a new version available in the NordVPN console but I ma=
naged to get it working.</div><div></div><div></div><div>in nodrvpn docker =
click add port ... make sure you select port from the drop down box and the=
n put 8989 in the value for nzbget conatiner port. restart nordvpn containe=
r .. then restart nzbget container. Then try to see if it works.</div><div>=
</div><div></div><div>and also subscribed Kaspersky internet security and n=
ordvpn on my Mac and window. I can connect Internet without any problem wit=
h my window, while when I use my Mac , I cant browse any website even I res=
et my VPN profile. I guess maybe it is because of issues with Mac or firewa=
ll or Kaspersky internet security? thanks</div><div></div><div></div><div>F=
or me none of the above worked, but they were right that a service was need=
ed so I checked all my services after installing nordvpn sudo service --sta=
tus-all and found nordvpn (no d). I'm assuming they changed the name?</div>=
<div></div><div></div><div>The error message probably means that the daemon=
was not found in the usercontext. The reason is, I believe, that nordvpnud =
is supposed to be run per user.I would suggest to run it yourself, rather t=
han during startup.</div><div></div><div></div><div>Added a 'skip settings'=
functionality (for Linux users only): Linux users are asked whether they'd=
like to execute additional settings (such as whitelisting ports) whenever =
they run the initialize_VPN() function. When the skip_settings parameter is=
set to 1, nordvpn-switcher will assume the user does not wish to execute a=
dditional settings. When the user combines this with the area_input paramet=
er, it is possible to run NordVPN switcher right from the get-go without an=
y required user-input on Linux (see demo.py for example code).</div><div></=
div><div></div><div>Create or obtain your own settings_nordvpn.txt file, pl=
ace it in your project folder and use the rotate function#For example, shar=
e particular settings with colleagues/friends who work on the same project =
by sending them your .txt settings file. Place it in your project folder an=
d just use the rotate_VPN function.</div><div></div><div></div><div>After h=
aving nordvpn-bin installed I have found that this build does not work. To =
fix it two files in '/var/lib/nordvpn/data' need to be removed, those being=
settings.data and install.dat. These files are recreated when you complete=
the login process. Note i have found that the xdg command line sesstion do=
es not aways work (due to browers issues at my end). If this happens copy t=
he link from 'Continue' on the 'Great - you're in!' page and manully run 'n=
ordvpn click "" to complete the login. For more info refer to:</div><div></=
