I think the smartest and most competent should remain in their home countries where they can help uplift their local economies. Instead of immigrating to the West and leaving their compatriots to live in poverty. Rather than strip mining the third world for brainpower the wealthy west should be investing in those places and helping them to improve. Of course the usual idiots would call that "colonialism" and claim the investors were only doing the investing to make themselves richer. While claiming that hiring immigrants in the West, resulting in overall lower wages in the West, is somehow improving the world. Somehow. Truly.
