If you don't own a car, you might consider something like Meals On 
Wheels, where they bring food to you already cooked. Nice!

Also, there is Uber Eats for a quick lunch snack. YMMV.

In an ideal location, you could walk to the market with a cane and a 
back pack. But, you wouldn't need a new car if you're still in assisted 
living.
