Are your prayers answered?

If not, there are certain things you should do:

1. Pray to God, not to Mary or Saints, etc, Luke 11:2,

- New American with Apocrypha
Luke 11:2 He said to them, "When you pray, say:
Father, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.

Notice, God's NAME is first in the prayer. A common name for God for
centuries has been and is "JEHOVAH". Since NO ONE knows His real name,
the name Jehovah is based on the Tetragrammaton. And people recognize
it as a name for God.

2. Must pray THROUGH Jesus' name. (not pray TO Jesus) John 14:6,

-- New American with Apocrypha
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.

3. Must pray within God's will. God's will is in the Bible. 1 John
5:14,

-- New American with Apocrypha
1 John 5:14 And we have this confidence in him, that if we ask
anything according to his will, he hears us.

-- New American with Apocrypha
James 4:3 You ask but do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to
spend it on your passions.

For example, to pray to win the Lottery, etc.

4. God must consider you a RIGHTEOUS person. 1 Pet 3:12,

New American with Apocrypha
1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
and his ears turned to their prayer,
but the face of the Lord is against evildoers."

5. Should not pray only so that others can see you and think you are a
righteous person. Mt 6:5,

-- New American with Apocrypha
Matthew 6:5 "When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, who love to
stand and pray in the synagogues and on street corners so that others
may see them. Amen, I say to you, they have received their reward.

6. Do not memorize a prayer and say it over and over verbatim. Mt 6:7,

 New American with Apocrypha
Matthew 6:7 In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that
they will be heard because of their many words.

-- Living Bible
Matthew 6:7 ``Don't recite the same prayer over and over as the
heathen do, who think prayers are answered only by repeating them
again and again. Remember, your Father knows exactly what you need
even before you ask him!

7. Must believe God will answer your prayer. James 1:6,7,

"6. But he should ask in faith, not doubting, for the one who doubts
is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind.
 7. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything
from the Lord," (NAB)

I hope those Scriptures can help you to get your prayers answered.
