webp images aren't spyware. There was a flaw in the decoding library 
[open source] discovered in 2023. Now fixed. That wasn't spyware, it 
could allow 'hackers' to install malware, do you really think Google has 
skin in that game.

There is a webp plugin for Irfanview 32bit I'm told, WEBP 4.73 Weppy 
format - WebP

Irfanview 4.75 says it works on XP. I have 4.75 but x64 and it does have 
that plugin, have you enabled it?
