Eset Offline Update Download

I have an ERA 6.5 server that I am in the process of decommissioning. It is being replaced with ESMC 7.x

I have 2 offline licenses where those servers were decom'ed a while ago (before my time) but the licenses were not reclaimed.



How do I get these licenses back into the pool?



I do not see documentation on how to do that.

1) verify who is using the offline licenses

2) how to put them back into the public pool.


If you want to put them back into the license pool, you just need to delete the offline files from the license administrator / business account. However you need to make sure, that the servers which were activated by them, are no longer present.

I will have to check with my colleagues, if there is any effective way of finding out which machines were activated by them. Theoretically a report in ESMC could be created, but that is usually based only on "public license ID" so both online and offline activated seats might appear in such report. But if those servers were decommissioned, one can expect they are no longer in use.

License Administrator is the online site correct? 



I suppose I would be on the Dashboard, expand my license. Click on the link in the "offline" column

this would bring me to some page. I would then click the one box and say remove?



And yes, I would definitely need to have a way to check. As I go to that page it pops up a warning about "1 Connected to internet" which might suggest there is one machine I'm not aware of using this license. I would most definitely need to resolve that first.


I recently had to reinstall Eset IS 11.2.49 due to performing a Win 10 1803 reset installation. As expected, a full scan of all local drives was performed as a result of the installation. Below is a screen shot of what was found as a result of this scan:


After the 14.1.19.0 update I keep getting orange notifications that Eset Push Notification Service is not available. It comes within 15-20 minutes every time I disconnect from the internet. The problem is I do need working offline from time to time. And it is very annoying to get interrupted like that.


ESET Push Notification Service has been used in business products for years already and now it's also leveraged by consumer products, to communicate with my.eset.com, Anti-Theft servers, licensing servers, etc.


I have the same issue. Everytime I go offline, The ESET Push Notification Service servers cannot be reached alert comes on under the yellow banner Attention required on the home screen, and this is truly bothersome. I do not want to see it.


If your computer is offline, you'll get an option to not warn about this soon. Otherwise you should make sure that communication with epns.eset.com is possible since more product features leverage it.

I am writing to see if anybody has some ideas as to why the Windows 1Password app will not connect, and is persistently "offline." AS of this writing, everything is a brand new install, and current version, installed yesterday.

Hello  HSeber - you can replace the offline license file anytime. And yes, you can setup a dynamic group, that will activate a not activated client automatically, even when offline license is to be used. The task itself does not differentiate between the fact whether it is an offline file, or standard license.

First, ESET has two types of installers, one is an online installer and the other is offline. But both are totally misleading. The offline installer is merely a 53 mb file which only installs the product but the all the modules data is downloaded after installing. Then the online installer which should do what the name suggests but it doesn't. All it does is downloads that 53 mb installer and install and of course downloads all the modules data after installing. Why even say it an online installer while it's definitely not! Highly misleading. Literally every AV I ever tried, all of their online installer download the whole product including modules and signatures, etc. ESET is the only exceptional one. Same goes for which is supposed to be ESET's offline installer. Almost all AV who still provides an offline installer installs the full product and only download the required new updates after installing unlike ESET. I don't understand! If you want to give users the option for an offline installer then that should contain every modules, updates till the day of creation and for the online installer it must download everything first then install the product.


Is 85 mb would be the size of the installer for the whole package? I see that ESET currently downloads around 150 mb during the first update. So if the compressed version in an offline installer is only 85 mb then I think that's not big at all. That's probably the smallest I've seen. Even with my not so good internet it would only take over a minute to download that. Even a 150 mb installer shouldn't be considered huge and many other AVs have a lot larger ones. Also like you said, the live installer's job is to download the product without worrying about OS versions, etc so most people are likely to download the live installer anyway so a 85 mb or even a bit larger optional offline installer is fine and seems more appropriate than the current one.


Basically the live version will be used when you don't have idea about 32 bit and 64 bit environments. Secondly it will surely needs fast internet connection to complete the job. But an offline installer does not need any internet connection. But you should have idea about OS environments to download the right version for your PC. Meanwhile a normal internet connection is also fine for downloading an offline version. Sometimes the online version will be terminated or it will show an error if your internet is slow or connection was terminated.


trying to activate a windows 7 offline installation (no internet, isolated network, upgrades from a mirror) of eset endpoint security (latest ver), fails with error code : ACT.260. screen shot enclosed. no agent required in offline installation.


using an offline activation file that worked on similar computers with similar OS but fails on last two computers. the error message does not reflect any license overuse, so not sure, what is the reason. tried to uninstall the endpoint & reinstall but same error.

I want to add to this thread and post that after 9.0.375.0 came out, I have had nothing but problems. Windows Store Apps will not update "all" of them. My Second Life "Game" keeps saying it found a Degrade in Performance and locks up. My printer, my WD Cloud HDD, and other stuff are getting BLOCKED! I have hit unblock but they just block it again. I have uninstalled, used the eset uninstaller, did a clean install of Windows 10 and nothing wants to work properly unless I just uninstall eset and leave it off the computer. This needs to get fixed asap!


I'm also having the same problem, I disabled secure all browsers, that seems to have disabled the option. With that option enabled, All my browsers will crash, I use firefox all the time, tried MS edge, and same problem. Then I noticed the green border. ( don't really use any banking online) but its was a bit annoying, and had a feeling eset was to blame.


I am having these issues as well, there is no way to disable the borders, other than completely uninstalling eset. The remove green border setting will work sometimes, but comes back often. Disabling all the various protection systems does nothing. This a design flaw and glitch.
