Try starting Quicken with no file open: hold down CTRL while double-clicking the Quicken icon. That normally shows only the File and Help menu choices. Possibly without a file open, those two menu choices will be functional. > >If the test file works, that suggests problems with your regular Q file. > >To attempt to address that, you could try Validate, and possibly > >Super-Validate, on your current file. If you do not already have the appropriate patch file(s), download it/them from https://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html [I save all patch files in a folder I named Quicken-Patches] In Control Panel, select "Programs and Features". Select Quicken and either: click Uninstall in the header row, or right-click the selection and choose Uninstall. Presumably you have your Quicken installation file; run that, preventing Quicken from accessing the internet. When Quicken has been reinstalled but is not running, run the appropriate downloaded patch file. [Note: you can Validate/Super-Validate from ANY Quicken file; Validate/Super-Validate does not have to be initiated in the file suspected of having corruption.]
