You should uninstall Quicken, reinstall Quicken, THEN run the patch file.

Quicken used to have two versions of patches: regular and Mondo. 
Now all patches are Mondo patches; the suffix "M" stands for Mondo.

I don't think you need to worry about any of that. 
Your Quicken account information should be stored on Quicken's computer. 
If/when Quicken needs it, it will access it on its own.
