It pretty much is.  SCO was once an active development company that made
good software and was universally considered a great place to work.  That
was many decades ago.  Now they do no development at all but only employ
lawyers to protect the intellectual properties that they bought from 
others.  At one point Microsoft was helping fund their various lawsuits
to shut down manufacturers of Unix-like systems, but then that kind of ran
out.

Everybody thought it was gone until IBM settled a long-running suit from
SCO out of court with a $21M payment, so SCO now has more money to sue more.

We're up to 22 years now, and the only people who have benefitted from any
of this mess are the lawyers.  I'm not sure even Jarndyce vs. Jarndyce went
on that long.  But, like Jarndyce vs. Jarndyce everyone associated with
suit has met some terrible fate.
