You miss the point.

The average GNU/Linux distro is literally crippled with various
security "features."  These features may be appropriate for
public-facing server environments but they are totally unnecessary
for stand-alone workstation desktops.

Yet no one seems to notice or care.

The distros have, so far, omitted RAM scrubbing on system shutdown
but I would not be surprised if this "feature" were not implemented
in the near future.

Fortunately, I am not affected by such security paranoia but that's
only because I don't use a distro.
