Reading the various forums and reddits Nvidia appears to be the major pain in the ass although some people have problems with touchpads. Everything I have is plain vanilla with either Intel or AMD integrated graphics. Getting the fingerprint reader working on the Lenovo took a little work and after I got it working I found it more trouble than it was worth. I probably could have screwed around with the pam stuff. The older Broadcom wifi on a 2011 netbook has been the only driver issue, but then that's Broadcom.
