When she sold the practice 5 years > later there were 4. Dentists? I don't know the details but for a year or so my original dentist and the one I have now worked together. There were two offices across from each other in the same building. For a while after Gary retired she kept both but eventually consolidated into one. I assume the physical space was a lease and the lease determined when she could drop one. I think it was a personal decision not to expand the practice. Even keeping a hygienist and receptionist has been a pain. I can relate. I think she enjoys dentistry, not running a business, but doesn't want to work for someone else.
