I decided long ago to accept some stuff as magic and get on with my 
interests.  An example is the recent network discussion. I can maintain 
distros but the less attention I have to pay to the OS, the better. For 
that matter almost everything I do on Linux could be done on Windows and 
vice-versa. That makes me an agnostic rather than a True Believer.
