Disability Accessible Technology: Free Section 508 Webinar Thurs. Sept 13, 2 p.m. EST A webinar called "Dealing with the Section 508 Accessibility Mandate Today and Tomorrow" by Mike Paciello of The Paciello Group will occur on Thursday, September 13, at 2:00pm EST. This 30 minutes long web- based seminar will provide information on what the impacts are for Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Section 508 requires the federal government to purchase accessible electronic and information technology for its employees and customers. Such purchases permit greater employment of people with disabilities by the federal government and influence greatly whether other products used in schools and offices and homes are also designed and made at the outset to be accessible to people with disabilities. Section 508 standards are currently under review and revision by the US Access Board, co-chaired by Mike Paciello. Time for audience questions will be made available at the conclusion of the Webinar. Although targeted to government and industry representatives, the information in this webinar should be interesting to any person with a disability concerned about accessible information technology. To register for this FREE Webinar simply go to: http://www.paciellogroup.com/pressroom/webinar.php and complete the registration form. They will send you the webinar link. There is no obligation. This event is expected to be informative and lively. SOURCE: Brian Landrigan, Director of Operations, The Paciello Group.
