Hi Sherry,

Why not simply search for 2 spaces and replace with one?

I have just done with with Notepad, and it works on the
first pass.

However with Word, it's less intelligent, and so you have to
go through a few iterations before it is complete.

All you have to do is in the Search and Replace dialog,
"Search for:" field, press the space bar twice. In the
"Replace with:" field just press the space bar once.

George.

Subject: Re: [VICUG-L] How Do I Decrease Indent in Word

Hi Davoud,

Thanks for the detailed instructions. If you are not in the
teaching profession, you should consider it - these
instructions were perfectly detailed.

Unfortunatley I had already saved the web page as a text
document. I tried copying it into a Word doc as you
suggested but still cannot shift the text to the left. I
tried marking it all and clicking the decrease indent
buttin, tried clicking on left justify and even eliminating
the left side margin. Nothing works - my text is still in
the middle of the page with leading spaces to the left of
each line. Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Regards,
Sherry Wells
