Try this: go to a known web site that uses flash player like www.youtube.com choose a vidio to view If it comes up and starts playing you have some version of flash player. if not you don't. Ok I have chosen a music video for you sound garden at http://youtube.com/watch?v=-KPrwFV03Cc if you hear audio then tab a few times to land on the video player then press the aplication key on the keyboard in the hope that a menu will open. moving down the menu will get you to a spot where it will tell you what version of flash player you have. Other items on this menu will be zoom in, zoom out, show all, quallity, settings, print, and about adobe flash player x. Just for the record. the flash player is now owned by Adobe. Adobe baught it from Macro media some time ago. The latest version seems to be nine. ----- Original Message ----- From: Lisa McManus To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2008 1:34 PM Subject: [VICUG-L] questions about information bar and macromedia flash player Hi all, I have a couple of problems. I wanted to know if anyone could tell me where on the computer I could go to check if I have macromedia flash player? I did not know if I have it for sure so I went to download it and the information bar came up blocking me from downloading the macromedia flash player. I went through the steps to turn off the information bar and completed those successfully, but when I went back to download the flash player the information bar blocked me again. That is crazy because I just went through the proceedure to turn it off so I could download it. If anyone has any ideas on these issues I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much.
