OE deleting Duplicate messages

Hi,

A friend of mine was trying to back up my OE files. For one thing, he made 
duplicates of my sent files. I started manually deleting each one, but then 
thought, "Could I have the computer do it for me?

I am a JAWS user with whatever version of OE that comes with XP home.
