Ok, I'll try it on a few different machines too. Early indications are that
(1) Chrome and Safari pick up white text for the "Did you know?" link, but Firefox drops through to the default.
(2) All my browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Android browser) drop through to a default (pure 0x0000ff blue).
I changed the default link colour on my Firefox to a dark red to make sure it really was the default coming through.

So Jan has already worked part of this out. I'll go play in my javascript sandpit to see if there is
a simple way to add a delay. I known next to nothing about javascript, but I did play with something
called 'Flapjax' once, which does functional reactive programming in javascript, so I know it's possible.
If it works out, we can try it and decided whether or not it's better with the delay.
