Does anyone remember why we stopped? Is it just something we forgot to do, or was it a choice? Doing a quick search I cannot find that we decided to stop this. I guess we just forgot doing so and it was not added to our build scripts. Probably that would be the best place to put it in. > > The zip files build fine. And I’m happy to publish them periodically — although I’m not sure how. Probably it should be in the build scripts. Otherwise I think just committing the zip file to https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/httpd/ should be fine as it would be available then via the CDN in the same manner as the source code is. I don't think that we need a formal release vote for doing so as it is the same content we continuously update on our website. But if a vote would be required we should just add the zip file to the lists of artifacts we vote on when doing a release. Regards Rüdiger
