Re: Apple Safari displaying http headers on the rendered page

Sorry for the delay.  I can answer this now that I have had time to 
spend looking into the cause.

No, I was not able to solve this problem (with 4.0.1a).  However, 
looking at the mailing list archives and digging around in CVS, we 
upgraded to 4.0.2a and no more mystery http headers appear.  mod_layout 
works very well!
