Both header and called file can't be PHP in Apache2 version

Hi Brian, A couple years back, I tried using mod_layout with Apache2 but there was a bug that wouldn't allow the header and footer files to be PHP if the called file was PHP as well. It was either one or the other. (see http://lists.tangent.org/pipermail/mod_layout/2005-July/002165.html) We're now hoping to move to Apache2 and I desperately need this working since our intranet is relying on mod_layout. I'm not a C programmer so I can't offer any help but I'm hoping this might have been fixed and not posted yet? <hopeful grin> Let me know if there's anything I can include to help diagnose the issue and come to a resolve.
