Move on to mod_sed. It's similar to mod_layout an has none of its glitches. It's also already in apache trunk, so it will probably be part of Apache in the future. You can use htaccess to experiment with using LayoutIgnoreURI to keep mod_layout from wrapping certain files. I have a problem which I've searched for, tested for and done everything in my power to fix, but I just can't do it. I'm running mod_layout 5.1 and have problem with some software; as far as I know already it is phpbb3 and wordpress. In wordpress, the headers get duplicated and that screws up it totally. I have no idea what is causing this.
