Mod_layout

Hello everyone

I want to include some php stats into every document on my server, I
dont want to specify anything with each vhost I can create, so I put
the mod_layout directives directly into httpd.conf without
<virtualhost>. Now every php file I include is not parsed by php, I
can see the source code ;( I read the faq but that explanation does
not work for me (still the same problem), what should be the path  to
file I want to include in the header?

The DocumentRoot for the server is /var/www
The file I want to include is here: /home/httpd/vhosts
Example vhost is like /home/httpd/vhosts/domain.com/
