Hi,

I'm not sure where to start with this one, but using a stock OS X
10.3.2 system with my own source compiled MySQL gets me a
mod_log_sql.so file without a problem, but trying to start Apache
results in it crashing in the module. I am more than willing to do the
leg work to debug this, but have never delved this deeply into Apache
and modules before, so could really do with some pointers to start me
off.

O/S: OS X 10.3.2

$ httpd -v
Server version: Apache/1.3.29 (Darwin)
Server built:   Dec 15 2003 00:52:57

$ mysql -V
mysql Ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.17, for apple-darwin7.2.0 (powerpc)

$ gcc -v:
Reading specs from /usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/3.3/specs
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1495)

Error shown when either 'apachectl start' or 'apachectl configtest' are
used:

dyld: /usr/sbin/httpd Undefined symbols:
_sql_log_module
/usr/sbin/apachectl: line 171:  5166 Trace/BPT trap          $HTTPD -t

and I also get an entry in /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/httpd.crash.log
that reads:

Host Name:      arvo.minimal.cx
Date/Time:      2004-02-11 14:20:18 +0000
OS Version:     10.3.2 (Build 7D24)
Report Version: 2

Command: httpd
Path:    /usr/sbin/httpd
Version: ??? (???)
PID:     5130
Thread:  Unknown

Link (dyld) error:

dyld: /usr/sbin/httpd Undefined symbols:
_sql_log_module

FWIW, v1.18 worked for me, but I could do with the extra fun stuff in
the later versions (for example being able to issue all LogSQL
statements in the body of httpd.conf and then over-ride a subset for
VirtualHosts).

I've run strings over the .so, and yes dyld is right, there is nothing
that reads _sql_log at all in there but equally running grep _sql_log *
in the mod_log_sql-1.95 directory gives no hits at all, so why is the
httpd binary trying to call that export ?

Thanks in advance,
