Hmm, now I can get OS X to launch httpd I'm confused...

This is very odd.  I went and renamed every occurrence of 
log_sql_module to sql_log_module in mod_log_sql.c and function.h (just 
the one in there) and lo: Apache will now launch.  What I can't 
understand is why, when the export declaration is made at the top of 
mod_log_sql.c that this should happen.

It's not properly creating the access table on the fly, but that's 
probably down to the weird test setup I have at the moment - I'll be 
able to properly try it out later tonight.

Just in case this helps anyone shed some light on things,
