Private radio station?

I'd like to set up a private radio station of sorts... I'd like to
determine the playlist using a web interface to add songs to the list,
and then have a single stream that can be tuned into for listening.
This is intended for use in my home, to replace the CD player in the
living room, as well as to be able to listen at work.

What I don't want is for each connection to get its own stream.  I
want all clients to be listening to the same thing at the same time,
regardless of when they "tune in", like a radio station.

I imagine I'll have to write some code to do this, but I was wondering
if any existing code out there could be used to implement major parts
of the project...  Any suggestions?
