Now that you mention it, that would be fun.  I think i will try it in python... trying to learn that language.   One more question,  do you know how to make it so that you can scan forward in a song i.e. move the slider to the right.. I dont even get the slider when i have it streaming.  When the mp3 is local winamp shows the slider.

Thanks for the help.  Your suggestion to go to that url worked, but only in IE.  I just save the file and load it in winamp.  However, using open location in winamp does not work.  All I get is mod_mp3.m3u listed in the playlist and no music.  For some reason the list does not display or play.  There has to be a better wy to doe it than typing out that long url http://192.168.0.22:8000/?op=m3u2.     If you have any additional ideas, let me know.. Thanks again!

well, here are some options...


0) enable random (MP3Random On) and connect to the server and get a stream
that starts at a different song each time you press play... this (MP3Random)
will not work if you want to pick the tunes (see 1 and 2 below)
1) visit http://192.168.0.22:8000/?op=m3u2 and download the file to your
machine or just open it in winamp. this will give you a list as you
requested. (you can edit this list with a text editor if you save it
locally)
2) install a 3rd party front end like ampache...

Hi everyone, 
I have mod_mp3 running fine on my redhat 7.3 box, but I cant seem to get my
playlist to display in winamp, or any other player for that matter. When I
connect to my server, the stream starts, but all i see in the list is song
playing. I would like to have the whole list in winamp, so that i can skip
ahead or back. The way it is now, I cant even skip to the next song, it
just starts the first one over again. Is there a way to do this? Below is
