The way I got around this in mummi is to have a playlist editor up on the server side, to create/modify/remove items on a saved playlist. I think Ampache does this too, and basically you probably need to copy this functionality. In regards to winamp: your never going to get the functionality you want unless you maybe write a plug-in for the application. -Jon -----Original Message----- From: Scot Frank [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, July 29, 2002 01:29 To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [Mod_mp3] Enqueing in Winamp with mod_mp3 Hi, I will try and answer your question, or at least give some input. It has been a while since I have worked with mod_mp3 so I'm just getting back into the scene. As far as I know, your playlist problem in winamp has to do with how windows handles that file type. For instance if you edit that file type, say .m3u you will see that winamp can either play or enqueue among many other options. What it is currently set at must be play, whereas if it is sent as enqueue it should work as you would like. Hence, this means that you have no control over this since it is on the user's side (unless there are other ways?). The only thing I can think of is if you kept track of what songs the user has selected and added them to a playlist that would repeatedly send the same songs again and again, with the addition of the current selection, but that would be a functional solution. I guess that if I were in your situation I would use audio/mpegurl , that seems to be the most common (I could be wrong). Hope this helps, Scot Frank _______________________________________________ Mod_mp3 mailing list [email protected] http://lists.tangent.org/mailman/listinfo/mod_mp3
