For some reason my initial attempt to install eRuby and mod_ruby to work with the built-in install of Apache caused it to get hosed. (It wouldn't start even with the default httpd.conf file.) Since I didn't know enough to debug it properly, I decided to dump Apple's and start from scratch. (Boy, that was a chore, hunting down all the places where Apple installs various files instead of /usr/local/apache/) Anyhow, as noted in another response, I got help on the newsgroup--apparently the latest stable build of mod_ruby has known problems with MacOS X. Updating to the latest dev version makes everything hunky-dory. Thanks for your information, -- (-, /\ \/ / /\/
